June 25, 2026George Mason University President Gregory Washington has appointed General David W. Allvin, the 23rd Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, as vice president for leadership and strategy. In the announcement, Washington said Allvin’s role is advisory in nature. Allvin is charged with advising and guiding efforts to strengthen George Mason’s positioning with various federal defense and national security research agencies.
