The one-hour program, The Complex Legacy of George Mason, will premiere on George Mason University YouTube channel and GMU-TV at 10 a.m. ET on July 2, 2026.

George Mason University President Gregory Washington has appointed General David W. Allvin, the 23rd Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, as vice president for leadership and strategy. In the announcement, Washington said Allvin’s role is advisory in nature. Allvin is charged with advising and guiding efforts to strengthen George Mason’s positioning with various federal defense and national security research agencies.

George Mason University's Board of Visitors has extended the contract of President Gregory Washington through June 30, 2031. Washington, who became George Mason's eighth president on July 1, 2020, was previously set to serve through June 30, 2027.

FAIRFAX, VA (April 19, 2023) George Mason University President Gregory Washington has named Marvin Lewis as the Patriots’ Assistant Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. Lewis, who signed a five-year contract, will become Mason’s sixth athletics director when he begins on July 1.
