Summer Camps

This year, both new and established summer camps across George Mason's Virginia campuses let high school students and undergraduates get hands-on experience with emerging technologies.

Through hands-on projects and mentorship from experts, high school students learned how to use AI responsibly, create an AI agent, and explore how AI is used to improve health care.

From bioengineering to big bands, these summer camps teach all ages that George Mason's Grand Challenge Initiative solution of "improving human health" is about more than numbers on a medical chart.

The Carter School welcomed a record 63 students from across the U.S. and Jordan to its 10th annual Conflict Resolution Youth Summit (CRYS), where participants built skills in negotiation, facilitation, and conflict analysis. Through hands-on workshops and collaborative projects, students developed innovative solutions to real challenges in their school communities while exploring future opportunities in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

Eleven Mason Korea students stepped into a mentorship role this summer at the 2025 Incheon–ASEAN Global Youth Camp.
