George Mason University President Gregory Washington announced today that Marvin Lewis, assistant vice president and director of Athletics, has signed a two-year contract extension, securing his leadership through the 2029-30 academic year.

George Mason junior outfielder James Quinn-Irons was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the fifth round of the 2025 MLB Draft on Monday.
Quinn-Irons, a native of Reston, Va., was selected with the 147th overall pick.
